IVN Gelderland organizes two mushroom tours in Wageningen and Nijmegen. Everyone is welcome, from total beginner to mushroom literate.

Dear (future) mushroom lovers!
After a huge success of the first mushroom walk by Elske from BottledBotanicals, there will be 2 more mushroom walks on the 14th and 30th of November, organized by IVN Gelderland, VSA Wageningen and VSA Nijmegen. The first tour will be given by Lisa near Wageningen on the 14th of November from 13:00h-15:30h. The second one will be given by Roos (https://roosvankroos.nl/) in Nijmegen on the 30th of November from 11:00h-13:30h.
Everyone is welcome, from total beginner to mushroom literate. If you are interested, please register on the IVN website where you can choose one of the dates. Keep in mind, there is a limit of 15 people per tour! So, gather your mycelia web of friends and explore the decomposing organisms that flourish in Dutch autumn.
What to bring:
âž¡ï¸ Possibly a raincoat and be sure to dress warm! We stand still a lot to look at mushrooms so it will not be a super active hike☃ï¸
âž¡ï¸ Comfortable walking shoes
âž¡ï¸ A small notebook with a pen for taking notes or drawing
âž¡ï¸ Hot drink (coffee/tea) + mug
Vegan snacks are provided by the Vegan Student Association (VSA)! ðŸ˜ðŸŒ±
Our mushroom guides are excited to go into the forest and discover the wonderful world of mushrooms with all of you! A short introduction to Lisa and Roos:
Lisa will take you on a walk in Bennekom and share her passion for fungi with you. She is a plant scientist with an enormous mushroom obsession. She loves to share what makes fungi so special, and makes you look at the forest like you have never looked at it before.
Roos is a passionate foraging guide and dedicated plant enthusiast. Her goal is to share her knowledge and expertise with people who are as crazy about food and plants as she is. She wants to bring back the wild in ourselves and our environment.
